What Does Severe Backache And Blood In Urine Indicate?

Hello i am a 34 year old female that has struggled with kidney stones for twn years. So for about a month ive had severe pain in my back where my kidneys are. The pain comes and goes. I have blood in my urine off and on as well. I also have frequency to urinate and sudden urges to urinate. Ive been to the er abd my urologist theyve done kub and ct and said i had a 8 mm stone on my left side and a 2 mm stone on my right side; both are in the lower pole. My urologist told me today that they cant be causing my pain because they are in my kidneys and not in my ureters. He claims my problem is not urological. Im in so much pain and havent slept well in weeks. Is thereany suggestions you can offer me?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I would suggest an NSAID and Tamsulosine to see if that would help.
If so, it indicates a kidney stone problem.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
