What Does Sharp Chest Pain,hand And Arm Numbness Signify During 36 Weeks Pregnancy With Normal ECG Scan?

hi, i am 36 weeks pregnant and have quite a small frame. I have been suffering with severe sickness all the way through my pregnancy. I get very sharp pains in my chest and it makes my left arm and hand go numb, or an aching feeling which is pretty bad. I think that it may just be from where i am sick so much and its putting a lot of pressure on my chest, but i am starting to worry a bit now for my baby s safety. I went to the hospital and they did an ecg scan on me and said that everything was normal, but i cant put my finger on what exactly is causing these pains then? Would be really helpful to get another opinion on this as i have had these feelings before when i wasn t pregnant and once again the ecg found nothing. Am just worrying that it may be something really wrong with me but i am hoping this is just normal for the rather unfortunate pregnancy that i have had. If anyone could help put my mind at ease, i would be very grateful thankyou.

Hi.The pain which you are suffering from may be due to carpal tunnel syndrome .
It is very common in 3rd trimester of pregnancy.Keep a check on your wt. and take vit. b supplements. You also need to check for pre- eclampsia, which can cause similar pain. Consult your dr. and avoid extra salt and fat. You can try physiotherapy and exercises for wrist.
