Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband started complaining with sharp pains yesterday in his stomach above his belly button, and some diarrhea and quesy feeling. He felt better after bowel movement and /or throwing up (twice) Was able to sleep most of the night but is still in pain. He has been exposed to the flu, and also symptoms seemed to start after he ate a personal size blueberry pie.
He might be having gastritis or acid peptic disease. Some tips he needs to follow 1. Do not eat spicy food. 2. Take medications for gastritis- Pantop or Omez or Rantac. 3. Take little food at frequent intervals. Breakfast around 8 am, a small snack at 11 am, lunch at 1 pm, a small snack at 4 pm and dinner at 8 pm. 4. Drink plenty of water. 5. Do not smoke; take alcohol or tobacco and even excess of coffee and tea. 6. Do not take much stress. Stress aggravates gastritis. 7. Do regular exercise. At least half an hour per day. 8. Learn meditation techniques. 9. Follow this regularly for 21 days. It said that anything you practice regularly for 21 days becomes a habit.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
