What Does Sharp Pain In The Left Ankle Indicate?

My left ankle gives off a very sharp pain when I move it certain ways. It doesn t hurt when I walk or stand but when I m lying or sitting down and I move it a particular way, it feels like its going to pop or a small bone is going to snap. What could that be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I suggest you to take X-Ray of the particular area (left foot) and consult a orthopedics to rule out spur or ligament damage. Meanwhile I advise you to take T.Myospas for temporary pain relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
