I m a 58 year old male and have suddenly started experiencing a sharp pain in my abdomen just below my rib cage on the left side. I perceive this worsening shortly after eating a meal and lessening if I fast but still noticeable to some degree. Taking a deep breath also seems to accent the pain as well as lying on my side and turning over from side to side while trying to sleep. Ive been taking omeprozale(20mg) 1-per day for acid re flux that was prescribed by gastroenterologist 2 years ago. also I take a 25mg of metoprolol for blood pressure 1- per day. These symptoms have been going on for about 4 days now.
