What Does Slight Reversal Of Normal Lordosis In CT Cervical Spine Mean?
I had a CT Cervical Spine w/o contrast last night at the Er. The findings were as follows: There is loss, and slight reversal of the normal lordosis. Very mild changes of disk degeneration are present at C4-5. What does this mean and is there anything I can do to alleviate my pain without narcotics?
1.Normally the spine has a curvature (its natural curvature ) when this curve is lost its called slight reversal of normal lordosis. 2.Its seen in case of muscular contraction, which will cause change in the curvature. 3.Loss of hydration in the disc is called disc degeneration (seen in the C4-5 level) 4.In this condition want you need is get some pain killers and simple back pain exercises. 5.Nothing much to worry as there are no fractures, dislocations seen.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
