What Does Small Lump In Armpit Signify?
My girlfriend just found a small lump in her armpit. I was wondering if it could be a sing of cancer. It's not really close to her breast, just right under her arm. She says today is the first time she's noticed it, because she had a rash under her arm and felt it. Should we be concerned?

Hi,
Having swelling in armpit doesn't signify that it is malignant . Few things should be checked like pain , discharge , size shape , consistency ,single or multiple......n few tests including biopsy to diagnose it. There are many benign condition like sebaceous cyst , lipoma , lymph node enlargement , axillary breast, hemangioma , neuroma , etc.
So most of the time it has been found that these swelling are benign condition therefore get reviewed in surgery dept for its diagnosis n management .
