What Does Superior Artery Stenosis And Hemodynamically Significantceliac Artery Mean?
I have superior artery stenosis & hemodynamically significantceliac artery problems in 9 areas in my stomach/abdomen according to the results I just got from the vascular ultra sound. Don't get to see my dr. for another 10 days. What do these results mean?
Hi, this means that you have problems with two out of three arteries supplying your intestines. The first is the Celiac artery, second and most important is the Superior mesenteric artery and the third is the inferior mesenteric artery. But nothing needs to be done unless you feel problems in the form of pain in abdomen specially after having meals which is called Intestinal angina and second is weight loss. If neither problems are there nothing needs to be done. Vascular Ultrasound might not be very sensitive. a CT angiogram would be the best investigation to know any blocks if at all. All the best, If you need any further Vascular advice you can leave me a Direct or a Specialist query on this website. Take care, Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
