What Does Swelling In The Ankle After An Injury Indicate?

a full 20 oz bottle of soda fell out of a refrigerator onto the top of my bare foot. Just in front of the ankle toward the outside. It is bruised in that area and swollen but swelling is not a lot. Hurts to touch that area and difficult to walk but can move the foot and toes with moderate discomfort. Can it be fractured?

It is possible you do have a fracture of a foot bone. It could also be a contusion. Please get an X Ray examination, and consult an Orthopedic or Podiatric surgeon.
