I have just noticed I am having swelling in my calves. I recently went to my dodtor where my blood pressure was 130 over 70. I have 2 herniated discs on each side of my lower back causing some neuropathy from MRI tests. I have managed to lose some weight recently. the blood pressure medication I take is atenolol 50mg. I recently started acupuncture. For pain my doctor has given me a high level aleve for inflamation. 500 mg 2 times a day as needed. However i wear socks all the time even when I sleep.However there are not the type of socks I should be wearing for my condition. pls help

1. going by your symptoms, you need urgent medical evaluation since it could be a blood clot [DVT- deep vein thrombosis] which has to be immediately excluded as there is swelling so seek immediate medical intervention [vascular surgeon opinion] or visit an ER.
PS. Ask for doppler study [since the clot could break free and travel up to the lungs to cause fatal embolism]
