What Does Swelling Of Lymph Node On Armpit Indicate?

Doctor, I have been dealing with really bad sciatic nerve but what is really bothering me is the swelling of lymph nodes in my left armpit, left side chest, and the elbow creases on both arms...should I be concerned or do you think it is just a reaction from my sciatica?

Any lymph node swelling must be investigated especially if present for more than two weeks. Lympnh nodesmay swell due to infections, immunological problems or sometimes due to tumours. One of the ways of finding out what's wrong in a lymphnode is a simple procedure called FNAC fine needle aspiration cytology. Your physician may do this procedure or may refer you to a pathologist. Sciatica is not directly related to lymphnode swelling in the armpit or in medical terms axillary lymphadenopathy .You must get investigated with a complete blood count, peripheral smear and a FNAC of the affected lymph node.
