What Does Swelling On The Face And Body Indicate?

Hi I have been swollen for the past 3 weeks. Everything from my chest down and my face are swollen. I have type one diabetes and my sugars weren’t the best for a little but they’re amazing now. My kidneys and liver are good. No infection or virus. What could be causing this?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Swelling all over body can be due to liver, heart or kidney problems or severe anemia with hypoproteinamia. In long standing diabetes ,kidneys are mostly affected. In High blood pressure heart involvement is possible. When certain viral infections, alcohol ondulgence or defective fat metaolism or gall bladder problems are associated with liver problems. Anearliest expert physician's advise, needful investigations are needed for finding the basic cause to be followed by specific medication.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
