What Does Swelling On The Left Cheek Indicate?

My left check is swollen, two finger widths when I press on my check my tooth is know. I have been at a home with dogs that I got stuffed up with last week. When I plow my nose it is clear. Would I have a problem with my tooth or my syncs? I would not want to waste time going to the dentist only to find out I need to seek my medical doctor. I don t have a fever but last night I could not lay on my left side as my check would hurt from resting on my pillow.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your symptoms can be probably due to allergies. As you already have symptoms of stuffing of nose when around animal danders, therefore the swelling seems to be related to allergic reaction only.

So my suggestion is to consult an Emergency room and get evaluated and a clinical examination and an X-ray can be done to rule out the exact cause of the reaction and then appropriate treatment can be advised.

For now, you can take anti allergic medicine like Levocetirizine for relief. Do ice packs over the cheek.
