What Does Swollen And Puffy Nipple On Child Indicate?
Hi Doc, One of my 16 year old son s nipples on his chest has been swollen and puffy for over a year now. It is very sensitive to the touch and painful when he presses on it. We were wondering if this was just a case of hormones during puberty or if there might be cause for concern and seeing a physician. Thanks.

I really appreciate your concern, such breast condition in young male could be due hormone (estrogen) bit high in level condition may be gynecomastia, but this would comes to normal after some time and this is nothing to worry, if this does not comes to normal then hormone profile need to be done, better to see the endocrinologist, hope this information helps, take care.
