What Does The TSH 3rd Generation Result Of 0.003 Indicate?
TSH 3rd Generation 0.003 this is my result, should I be concerned? I looked up the systems of Hypothyroidism and have almost everyone. Symptoms of Hypothyroidism: Fatigue Weakness Weight gain or increased difficulty losing weight Coarse, dry hair Dry, rough pale skin Hair loss Cold intolerance (you can t tolerate cold temperatures like those around you) Muscle cramps and frequent muscle aches Constipation Depression Irritability Memory loss Abnormal menstrual cycles Decreased libido I no longer have a menstrual cycle, so that one doesn t apply. Thank you for your input
Hello and welcome to HCM, The symptoms of fatigue, weakness, weight gain, difficulty in loosing weight, dry hair, pale skin, cold intolerance, depression etc are suggestive of hypothyroidism. In hypothyroidism the level of thyroid hormones - T3 and T4 is low and level of TSH is high. However, your TSH report is showing very low results. The normal range of TSH is between 0.3-0.5 U/mL. The value of TSH is very low and this suggests hyperthyroidism. I suggest you to please post the entire thyroid function test report - T3, T4 and TSH with units for better interpretation.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
