The pathology report indicates the possibility of a granulosa cell tumor which is a sex cord stromal tumor. It is a malignant tumor of ovary which is slow growing and secretes estrogen. Therefore most patients have symptoms due to increased level of estrogen at the time of detection.
Since this is a malignant tumor therefore it requires to be treated in complete. Surgery is possible in early stages and might be curable. However chemotherapy and radiation therapy might be used in some patients with large or recurrent tumors. Please do not worry.
