Thank you for the query.
I would like to know your age and gender. As per the information provided, you have a
Aortic stenosis (mild) and MVP, along with long term history of
Hypertension. There is also a family history of cardiac disease.
As per the investigation reports, you are lipid level are borderline high.
Total cholesterol is 203mg% (should be preferably below 200 mg%) and LDL is 118 mg% (some physicians prefer it to be below 120mg% and some below 100 mg%). Since you have a long term history of hypertension and a family history of cardiac disease, it is suggested that you start on lipid lowering agent (like
atorvastatin,
rosuvastatin etc). They have a beneficial effect. However, if you do not want to start on drugs, you can go for dietary modifications (avoidance of
saturated fat, refined carbohydrates and alcohol). If you are a smoker, you have to quit. A daily exercise regimen (within your tolerance limit) may help. After following this regimen for about 2-3 months you can recheck your
lipid profile, if it is still raised, you need to start on statins.
Please visit your treating doctor, for a plan of management (after a physical examination).
Hope this helps you.

Dr.Ayusmati Thakur
