What Does The Following CT, Chest X-ray And Blood Results Indicate?

Please doctors This case is my cousin and it is still of unknown cause Please read the casevand give me yous opinion .... Female 30 years have a baby 5 monthes ago. Visited ER at 14/4 with vague history of gastroenteritis and pharyngitis Antibiotics & zantac ductorim oral gel was subscribed to her In ER she was diagnosed as pharyngitis and cafotax was given iv She was advised to follow up with ENT physician Then cardiac arrest was announced and CPR started immediately lasts for one cycle and circulation returned back and adrenaline was given 1mg iv and chest compression Patient admitted to icu on m.v. with ECG post arrest 3+tube . Investigations for the cause of arrest was dine as follows CT brain , free Chest x ray , free ECG Twave inversion in chest leads Cardiac troponin , -ve Echo , normal study Abd us , free Complete lab , free of any abnormalities Dimers , -ve FBPs , -ve Neurosurgical consult : suggest brain dehydring for 1 day and concluded no apparent abnormalitie Neurology consult , asked for CSF analysis (-ve) and started full dose LNWH 60 mg bld Toxicology screen , free urine . Asked for (EMG) which had no abnormalities IM , asked for ceftriaxone 3 days with no other conclusions Our plan , by exclusion this may be a case of prophylaxis followed by sudden cardiac arrest , The role now is to support the patient oxygen & circulation & other functions & watch for improvement. 3days later , pt in spontaneous eye opening , extension to pain , tube GCS 6+T Glasgow from 3 raised to 8 Lab values : WBC , 7.7 HB , 10.4 PLATELET , 257 K 4.1 Na , 136 PT 12.3 inr 1 ALT , 81 HIGH .. AST 31 Alph 189 Total ptn , 6 Urea , 25 PH , 7.37 Pco2 , 32 Po2 184 / 40% o2

Hello. Based on the information given the patient may have suffered from a condition called Anaphylaxis. To put it simply it is a type of severe allergic reaction that occurs sometimes all of a sudden in response to a medication given earlier. Such reactions are called anaphylactic reactions. It cannot be predicted . Different people react differently to antibiotics and other medication. When a person develops Anaphylaxis it may be a mild response such as itching or rash and sometimes life threatening ones such as cardiac arrest or shock. presently monitoring and supportive care is going on I presume.
