MRI Scan showing L5-S1 diffuse disc bulge causing impingement of thecal sac with bilateral forarninal narrowing and impingement on exiting nerve root. also a mild displacement of descending nerve roots seen on both sides. Ditto L4-5. Conclusion: Degenerative changes seen in the lumbar spine with loss of the normal lumbar lordosis with degenerative changes seen throughout the lumbar spine and L4-5 and at L5-S1 there is left-sided foraminal narrowing seen with impingement of the exiting nerve roots seen on the left side and both of these two levels. L5-S1 there is mild displacement of the descending nerve roots on both sides. Ley man s terms: Pain in lower back mainly right hand side restricting muscle movement in thigh and calf muscle areas making walking uncomfortable at best and running impossible. Very rarely however both are possible. Pins and needle feeling in lower leg an foot almost a relief. Help !!!
