What Does The Following PET Scan Result Mean?

After a PET scan these are the findings. 1 The patients pulmonary nodules are not hyper metabolic but these are small and may not be well evaluated on PET scan. Follow up in 3 months. 2 the right posterior chest wall mass also is not hyper metabolic and could suggest a benign process. 3 there are prominent sized lymph nodes in the retroperitoneum which could be inflammatory but the max SUV is 4.1 Follow up is suggested as lymphoma can also have this appearance. What does this all mean?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, the PET scan is suggestive of some benign lesions and not the malignancy and it need to be correlated with the clinical condition for which test have been done, this is nothing to worry better to get done the CT scan if it is not being done, hope this information helps.
