What Does The Following Widal Test Report Suggest?

hello sir... my widal test report says.. salmonella Typhi(o) : 1:80 salmonella Typhi(H) : 1:80 salmonella Typhi(AH) : No agglutinatiom seen salmonella Typhi(BH) : No agglutinatiom seen does i am typhiod infected... my doctor is priscribed me with ORATIL 500 MG TABLET .. i have a sore throat also.. what should be your suggestion sir

Hi,

Widal test is of 1:80 means that it can be considered negative for typhoid. If this number is below 1:160, it is considered to be normal.

No agglutination is a negative test result and indicates the absence of clinically significant levels of the corresponding antibody in the patient serum.

Oratil 500 belongs to the Cephalosporin Antibacterials class of medicines. It is used to treat various type of infections.

Kindly take the medication as prescribed by your doctor and do the necessary follow-up as advised.
