What Does The Following Biopsy Report Suggest?

Hello, I had core biopsy done for my survical lymph node due to swelling. Biopsy report shows that it is fibercollagenous tissue with few collection of lymphoid cells. There is no evidence of Koch s or malignancy . What does that imply? Can you please explain? Thanks in advance. Zalak

Hi,

Fibrocollangeous tissue with lymphoid cell collection in biopsy report indicates chronic inflammation of the affected tissue along with lymphoid cell infiltration.

Your report says that there is no evidence of tuberculosis or cancerous changes. However, the report needs to be correlated clinically with your clinical symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
