General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Generally, an angioplasty is suggested if there is a stenosis of more than 70 percent. In your case, since there is a stenosis of 70 to 80 percent in one segment, it is advisable to undergo angioplasty to prevent complete blockage in future. Also, it is necessary to start Ecosprin, which is an anti platelet drug to avoid any clot formation, since you are more prone to it, now owing to your blocked artery.

I hope that answers your question. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you good health.
