What Does The Following Brain MRI Scan Report Indicate?
My grandmother was referred for MRI Scan of Brain and we get it done today and the conclusion in the reports is : Diffuse cerebral atrophy with microangiopathic changes. Small microhaemorrhagic /Microcalcific focus right parietal lobe. please can you tell is there any complications
These changes are seen in old age group patients usually. If there are no symptoms u need not worry much . I will advise you to go through her lab reports. Its important that her lipid profile is within or near to normal limit. Get her Blood Pressure checked. Routine care and dietary care with as much exercise/yoga/mediation as possible is advised by me to her. Please don't worry much , just i will tell you to remain alert a little more than before for e.g if she gets any sudden blackout or so, she falls down and become unconscious .
No worry and full alertness and awareness will help you.
If she is ok otherwise then this MRI scan does not suggest any complications. Its due to age related changes and previous episodes.
