Hello and welcome to HCM,
The presence of hyperplastic polyp on histopathological examination of the intestinal lesion suggests that there is a polypoidal or bulbous projection in the intestine.
A polyp is a pre-neoplastic lesion which can turn into malignancy or which can turn malignant in due course of time.
Excision of such lesion is the treatment of choice.
However, regular follow up with colonoscopy is recommended to pick up similar lesions in future as early as possible.

Thanks and take care
