What Does The Following Test Result Indicate?

Hi Doctor, what does this mean "Streaky hazy densities are seen in the left upper lobe." The trachea is in midline. The heart is not enlarged. The pulmonary vessels are within normal limits. Both hemidiaphragms are distinct. The left costophrenic sulcus is blunted. The osseous thoracic cage reveals not significant bony abnormality.Thank you very much.

Hello

Hazy opacities in left upper lobe may indicate infective etiology. It may be due to pneumonia, tuberculosis etc.
It need clinical correlation and routine investigations like routine hemogram.
Initially I suggest broad spectrum antibiotics and follow up X-rays.
If findings persists then tuberculosis etc should be excluded.

There is also blunting of left CP angle,it may be due to mild pleural effusion or pleural thickening.

Other findings are normal.

Get well soon.
Take Care
