What Does The Following Thyroid Scan Results Indicate?

I had a thyroid scan which shows mild thyroid enlargement, possible cold nodule. I am hyperthyroid with a TSH of 800, normal T3, free T3, total T4 and elevated T4 of 2.1. I have tachycardia and taking a beta blocker. My iron and B-12 are low, I have had negative results for Pernicious Anemia, my hgb is also low. I do not have a follow-up appt. at this time. I had malignant melanoma removed 2 years ago with follow-ups every 6 months, which have been negative. What is your input with the above information related to my thyroid?

Radiation Oncologist 's  Response
Hi,

A TSH of 800 is very high, suggests optimization of thyroid medication. I would like to evaluate the cause of your low hemoglobin. What was the site of your malignant melanoma? Please show to a physician, who evaluates the reports and examines you and treats accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jatin Bhatia, Radiation Oncologist
