What Does The Following Transvaginal Scan Report Indicate?
Hai doctor, am 26 years old and pregnant. I went for transvaginal scanning. It shows single intrauterine pregnancy with absent cardiac activity s/o embryonic demise .And also sac seen with single ambryo with CRL 5.9mm corresponding gestational age of 6 weeks 3 days, yolk sac is echogenic, decidual reaction is heterogenous.my LMP was 27/09/2016.I went for fertility treatment before getting pregnant and also egg was ruptured in 17 th day after menstruation.please suggest best opinion.
first of all thanks for writing to us, as by now your radiologist may already might have told you that the prognosis of your current pregnancy is not good , fetal heart rate can be detected by trans vaginal scan as early as 22 week and its absence indicate something is not right. i would recommend you to immediately consult an obs & gynae specialist ,she may undergo few of more tests or repeat an usg scan to confirm the diagnosis and recommend you further treatment. thanks dr.akash kumar
