General & Family Physician, Dr. Maninder's Response
Hi,
The important factor is the level of the O and H agglutinin titer levels. If this number is below 1:160, it is normal.
If, however, it is over 1:160, you may have typhoid fever or another salmonella related illness. Apart from this, clinical co-relation with symptoms is necessary.
In my opinion, for now, you need not worry, but do keep a check and immediately seek medical help if high fever/vomiting/GI upset.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Maninder, General & Family Physician
