Infectious Diseases Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

1. Your daughter is suffering from Typhoid. Although not so severe yes the disease is present in her body.
2. For this, the doctor must be giving her some course of a combination of antibiotics with antipyretics.
3. Ask her to take lots of fluids.
4. It will take at least 2 weeks to get better.
5. After the treatment over in two weeks, you can get her injected for typhoid vaccination which will further help in the prevention of the disease at least for 3 years and again after 3 years you can repeat it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Harshita, Infectious Diseases Specialist
