General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The Widal of 1:80 and 1:320 titre requires a therapy of minimum 4 weeks period.

* The currently narrated symptoms are due to enteric fever only as there are microbes in the circulation, still require further therapy.

* So far as the Widal test status is concerned, in many of the instances it shows up positive for a period of even 6 months without clinical symptoms due to circulating antibodies.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
