What Does The Reddish Discoloration On The Shin Of A 67-year-old Man?
hello I am a non smoking 67year old man working everyday. No drugs no drinking eat good take supplements no diabetes or other diseases. I have vericose veins what is called venous insufficiency they do not hurt or weep. After a slight bang on my shin it was bleeding a little and healed within that same area I have a 4x2 reddish discoloration not an open wound. No pain but itches . Have tried topical creams . Now drinking juices homemade from fruits and also for 3 weeks about 6+oz spinach and carrot juice everyday . I do not want vein surgery hey do not bother me, however I am concerned or wondering about the reddish mark that is ever present. Was told it is from a leakage from a vein . How can I treat this to go away? Can it go away?can vein heal or be repaired? Will reddish mark or blotch go away? Thankyou John Janish 248-824-0574. Or email YYYY@YYYY
The reddish mark is leaking vein presenting as collected blood underneath the skin, involving subcutaneous area. Though varicose veins are not pausing any physical harm to you as per your narration, the current red discoloration on shin is the only sequence of varicose veins.
* Primary care would be in controlling the cause of the lesion, rather than treating it symptomatically. Kindly discuss the need of laser therapy or other curative measures of varicose veins with your vascular surgeon when you visit him or her for regular follow up period appointment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
