What Is Discoloration On The Front Part Of Shin Suggestive Of?

Hello, I am 63 and was diagnosed with Atrial Fib a year ago. I noticed I have some discoloration on the front of my shins..a reddish color and have been having heat flashes... Something I should have checked out by a generalist or vascular specialist? Thank you

Hi,

I understand your concerns.

The reddish color you noticed on the front of your shins should be further evaluated by an angiologist (vascular specialist) to rule out problems with local blood vessels (deep vein thrombosis, etc.).

If nothing is found with your blood vessels, then, dermatologist is to be consulted to rule out local skin problems.
All the best!
