Please I was told by the lab that I have moderate fluid collection noted in the posterior cul de sac, and also follicular cyst seen in the left ovary measuring 28x28mm with thin wall, no internal echoes and no septum. Please what does this mean? I was suggested to do high vaginal swab. But how can this be treated? Is there any risk?
A follicular cyst in ovary is a normal finding. The collection of fluid in the cul de sac must be investigated properly. It can be causing your symptoms related to pain and abnormal bleeding. This is broadly known as pelvic inflammatory disease. Please get the tests done and you can take the required medicines and get treated completely. If needed also get your partner treated.
