Hi, My nephew is having problem from childhood we have done the citi scan of his head as per the citi scan result report is as follows.
Posterior fossa: cerbellar hemispheres are normal. fourth ventricle is midline with widened perimesencephlaic cisterns. IAC appear normal.
Supratentorial: Suprasellar cisterns sulci & fissures are prominent with normal third & lateral ventricles with midline septum with no parenchymal or periventricular calcification seen.
Impression: small skull with prominent CSF spaces with no periventricular calcification seen.
Sir please guide us for his treatment we doen;t have more money also he is now 4 years old not doing more activities he is not able stand he has to hold something to stand
Thanks for your question on HCM. By your history I can make out that he is having motor milestone delay. Both gross and fine motor delay. It is most commonly seen in cerebral palsy (CP). CP has many causes like preterm birth, meconium aspiration, low birth weight, neonatal jaundice etc. Sometimes it is idiopathic in nature. The treatment lies mostly on supportive treatment like physiotherapy and nutritional support. So consult pediatric neurologist for this and discuss these things.
