What Does The Scan Result Indicate About The Position Of Baby?

I'm 11 weeks pregnant and have been suffering from nausea and regular bouts of computing. My scan yesterday showed that my placenta completely covers my cervix. The doctor said it was nothing to worry about but reading on the Internet makes me very worried. Could this have been caused by the physical exertion of my vomiting? How safe is my baby when I have this sort of placenta?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Do not worry about this, sometimes during the initial stages of pregnancy the placenta can be placed on an inappropriate place, but it usually changes its position and even if it does not we can opt for cesarian and deliver your child.

It is not due to your vomiting or any other external factors, please do npt worry about this. It is a simple issue that can be easily resolved.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
