What Does The Swelling In The Entire Body Indicate?

Hello, My entire body swells up in the morning, almost doubles its size, then after about 2-3 hours it goes back to normal. Sometimes I experience chest pain, (infreqently spine pain, overall body pain), having trouble walking in the morning, and rarely I vomit. I am female, 40 years old, I am of average height and weight, I don t take any medications whatsoever, I keep a healthy intake of food, I rarely consume alcohol, no family medical history. I already scheduled an appointment with my doctor for next week, but I d like to have an insight as to what this might be. Thank you.

Hi,

Without an exam, I can only give general information. Fluid accumulation can occur with with any organ failing--it just doesn't usually fail only part of the day.

On the other hand minor fluid accumulation like varicose veins or obesity causes fluid to run to the bottom of the leg and when someone lies down, the fluid shifts and it usually is uncomfortable. BUT it also usually goes out while lying down if it is from a not so serious source.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
