What Does The Urinalysis Indicate?

I just got my urinalysis back WBC esterase 1+,protein 1+,and WBC 6-10. my doctor is having me repeat along with culture. I should also let you know I am 60 was fasting did not provide a clean catch and provide a very small amount of urine . Any advice?

Thanks for writing to HCM

You are suffering from urinary tract infection(UTI).I don't think findings are due to contamination because WBC esterase is also positive.

UTI is indicated by presence of WBC,protein,positive WBC esterase in urine.
You need few more investigations like routine hemogram,Random blood sugar,Renal function test,Urine culture and sensitivity and Ultrasound of abdomen. Further investigations can be done if needed.
At present you need proper antibiotics after culture and sensitivity report.
