I got my blood test results and I have seen non reactive with the value of 0.4 in front of HIV Ab/Ag(I-II) E.C.L. I had an oral sex about 10 month ago. I just would like to know what does this test mean and if it is negative why I got the value of 0.4. The standard range for non reactive test has been mentioned as below 1.

Thanls for your question on HCM. In my opinion no need to worry since your test result is non reactive. You have undergone elisa test for antibodies detection. This ia very sensitive test and used for screening purpose. Every test has some sort of limitations so cut off values are given. Since your test is below 1 which means your result is below cut off and thus negative. Don't worry about the test. Yo are non reactive. Better to avoid oral sex this can spread infections.
