What does the widal test result indicate? Hello,Recently i have done widal test, following are the test results. please suggest is this a positive typhoid fever results and do i need to start medications. STYPHI H. 1:40 and STYPHI O 1:40 and STYPHI AH NIL and STYPHI BH NIL.

But in few cases treatment is started on clinical suspicion alone.
A lot of times it is difficult to confirm entering fever with investigations.
