Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
At my L4-L5 there is a small posterior disc bulge mildly indenting the the cal sac anteriorly , there is a small right subforaminal annular fissure. and at L5-S1,there is a small central disc bulge mildly indenting the thecal sac anteriorly, the right facet is mildly hypertrophic. What does this mean
According to the result of the CAT scan, it means that this is a kind of disc herniation, and the fissure is a partial fracture of the bone. If you have chronic pain it is mostly due to these findings. Probably you need an orthopedic specialist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
