Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a fibroscan done and the result Alpha 2 Macroglobulins (HCVFBS) 171. Reference range 110-276 what does this mean and what stage would I be my alt levels 129 bilibrubin 1.5 Apolipoprotein 1 (HCVFB) is 93 platlet count is 57 I don t understand what stage I am or what else this could mean.Thank u
The level of macroglobulin is normal and hence co relate with lesser possibility of auto immune disorder of fibrotic sequence. The raised level of ALT may be part of hepatitis, viral infection or else. The platelet count of 57 needs confirmation of total report as whether it is 57000 or 570000 which makes a huge difference of interpretation.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
