0000 09/07/2010 REVIEW OF EXTERNAL RADIOGRAPHS
Radiographs of the right lower limb dated 1 July 2010: There is a large sessile osteochondroma arising from the proximal medial fibular metaphysis. This is heavily ossified and is resulting in some posterior
MRI of the right knee dated 7 July 2010: The osteochondroma arising from the medial metaphysis of the proximal fibula and has a heavily calcified surface but also a large lobular non-calcified cartilage component which measures almost 2 cm at its maximal depth. The lesion is causing chronic erosion of the posterior tibial metaphysis but no other tibial abnormality is demonstrated. The popliteal artery runs lateral to the lesion initially and then posterior and is not particularly affected but the anterior tibial artery is slightly stretched around the inferior neck of the tumour. Therefore, there is concern for development of peripheral chondrosarcoma in relation to the osteochondroma.
