Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am looking for a doctor who specializes in the back I am in the south surrey white rock area I have had a MRI and shows that I possibly have a disc pressing on my sciatica. It is progressively getting work and my doctor has me going to a neurosurgeon when in December
These MRI findings are suggestive of a disc herniation, which is causing a nerve compression to the sciatic nerve (which lies in your thigh and foot). In such case, you can try painkillers, resting and wearing a lumbar brace. If this tip does not help, consulting with a surgeon and discussing about surgery will be necessary.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
