1. My PET scan shows FDG avid consolidation in right lower lobe of lung SUV max 10.04 appear infective. What does it mean. 2. The same PET scan also shows fibro nodular opacities in the right upper lobe and peri fissural nodules in the left upper lobe of the lung, appear infective. What do these results mean?
The PET scan reports show the presence of some nodules in lung fields and in fissures of lungs.
The lesions appear to be infective on PET scan, however, further investigations are needed to assess the exact nature of these nodules like aspiration from these nodules.
