Sir, I am a 50 yr. old male. I have been feeling discomfort in my genitals since last 5 years. My PSA test results are following... 25.03.2016------4.8 01.07.2016........4.9 04.08.2016..........5.75 10.10.2016..........3.3 10.10.2017..........4.8 Is there any chance for cancer? to whom shall I Consult ? Andrologist or Oncologist
Your Psa levels are quite normal. They will get quite elevated in cancer. Other benign causes for elevation are prostatitis ie infection, urinary tract infection, palpation of prostate as in a digital rectal examination etc. But your levels are OK. Consult a urologist if you have urinary problems to rule out benign hyperplasia prostate which is common in old age
