What Does This Widal Test Result Indicate?
Sir, in the Widal Slide Method, Iam having S Typhi H positive (1:80 dilution) But S Typhi O Negative ( 1;20 dilution). Kindly confirm whether I am affected by Typhoid? The local Doctor (M.D.) is telling that Iam not affected by Typhoid.But, Viral fever.

yes its normal and lab-results showed you are not infected with Typhoid infections However Widal is not always good choice for screening the Typhoid fever due its false negative result.If your symptoms remain unchanged then culture for salmonella.In this particular case the report is normal and your shouldn't' worry .

What your doctor said is appears to be true as your o titre is very low 1:20 and h is 1:40...As he might hav correlated the reports clinically also,His diagnosis seems to be correct..U can follow his treatment for viral fever.
