What Does This Chest X-ray Report For Persistent Cough Indicate?
Hi I have two weeks of cough that s why i decided to go to the doctor then she told me i need to xray then the result of my xray was nodulohazed opacities are noted in the right upper lobe the rest of the study are unremarkable..impression PTB,minimal...can you explain what is the meaning of that thank you godbless
Let me tell you that the x-ray findings and your more than two weeks of cough suggest that you are suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis which means that part of your chest is infected with tuberculosis.
Some more tests should be done to support your chest X-ray report such as WBC count and ESR although your chest X-ray is very suggestive.
I suggest talking to your doctor at the earliest as your treatment has to be started as soon as possible.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
