What Does This Chest X-ray Say About The Lung?

Hi,
I am P Kumar from New Delhi India. I am 63 years old. In my annual health checkup I had X Ray Chest PA/AP view.
Result of investigation says:
Bronchvascular markings in bilateral lung fields;
cardiac size boarderlins;
Bilateral costophrenic angle clear and calcification of arotic knucle.
Would you please explain how is my lung. Is there any serious problem ? What should be the line treatment?
Thanks and regards

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
I have gone through the x ray report you have mentioned.
Most common cause for prominent bronchovascular markings is bronchitis.
So if you are smoker or having breathing difficulty then get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
If PFT is normal then no need to worry, just quit smoking.
But if PFT is showing obstructive defect then you will need smoking cessation, inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone).
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
