Hi, I had a ct scan recently and when compared to ct I had done in 2008 there are severe erosive changes along the inferior C5, the superior C7, and residual C6 vertebral bodies. These are the vertebra which in my two level artificial disc replacement surgery are attached to the prosthetic discs. I have no other vertebra that show this erosive changes in them, besides those which are attached to the artificial discs. My neurosurgeon that he has never even seen this before. Is there hopefully someone that is reading this who has seen or even heard of this before..?
Sending an image would have been better but from the report is looks like your C 5, C 6 and C 7 vertebrae show erosions probably due to degenerative changes. The previously done artificial disc replacement is also seen. It is very rare to see artificial disc prosthesis and this is what your neurosurgeon might have commented. I have heard about disc replacements and it has been beneficial to many patients.
